Our news MEC Access makes key appointments in Europe

Wednesday 15 October 2008

MEC Access, Mediaedge:cia's specialist entertainment, sports and cause marketing business (www.mecglobal.com), has made two key appointments to its European operations; Victoria Prostyakova joins the team as Head of MEC Access in Russia and Christophe Brun joins MEC Access in France as Director of Sport.

Victoria Prostyakova makes the move to MEC Russia from Zenith Optimedia where she worked as Creative Media Director. She has worked with clients such as L'Oreal, Nestle, Coca-Cola, HP, Puma and Whirlpool. Prior to this role Victoria was Head of Sponsorship and Special Projects at Universal McCann working on Johnson & Johnson and Bacardi Martini.

Brun joins from Public Systeme, one of the first event agencies in France, where under the same job title he was responsible for the creation and development of the sport division. Before that he spent five years at Havas Sport and working with clients including SFR and Toyota, and was previously Director of Marketing and Communications at Eden Park for more than 10 years. Brun will bring his wealth of sport marketing experience to the French office in this exciting new role at MEC Access.

In addition, Mark Warne, a key member of the Visa account team in London, is moving to MEC Access in Dubai to become Strategy Director at the end of September. He will work alongside Planning and Implementation Director, Leena Kewlani, and will be jointly responsible for the development of the MEC Access offer in Dubai and across the Middle East. Warne and Kewlani were instrumental in Mediaedge:cia's recent appointment by Sony Electronics' sports marketing business for the Middle East and will both be heavily involved in forthcoming Sony initiatives.

Jeremy Clark, Managing Director., MEC Access EMEA, said: "I am delighted that Victoria and Christophe have joined our growing MEC Access team in Europe. In addition, it's very satisfying to be able to move our outstanding talent within the network. Mark has been a very important part of the team here in London and I am sure that he will rise to the challenge in Dubai. All of these appointments play a key role in the continued development of our MEC Access offer in each country, making valuable contributions to the MEC Access network around the world."
