Düsseldorf, January 19th, 2009. Mediaedge:cia (MEC), a leading media agency, has appointed Thorsten Blodow as Managing Director of MEC Access and Mediaedge:cia Germany.  The appointment is effective immediately.

 

Thorsten Blodow, 36, was formerly Director of Carat Sponsorship where he led accounts such as RWE, Postbank, Vodafone, Adidas and Coca-Cola on their strategic sponsorship and partnerships.  His experience covers both consultancy and implementation.

 

Previously, he was also Managing Director of WOM Media Network between 2004 and 2005 working across the music industry, and previously spent time at CIA Medianetwork, Media Direction, and MediaCom, working with clients including Nike, Footlocker, Ubisoft, Dr Oetker and Mars.

 

Thorsten  Blodow, said: “I am delighted to be joining the MEC Germany team at a time of growth and true diversification at the agency. Great commuinciation strategies and ideas span all different areas of the business and I am looking forward to adding to our already impressive output for clients.”

Thorsten joins the management team and will report to Birgit Konrad, CEO of MEC Germany.
