Our news MEC Manchester wins Woburn Safaris

Monday 16 March 2009

Woburn parks Safari account with Big, Spark and MEC Manchester

March 16th 2009.  Woburn Abbey and Safari Park, the award-winning visitor attractions situated in Bedfordshire, have awarded their marketing, advertising and promotions work to Big Communications and group sales-activation agency Spark, with media planning and buying going to Mediaedge:cia Manchester.

With the digital work already with sister agency Fuse, the Big and Spark teams were invited to present an integrated advertising and sales strategy for the year.

Marketing  Manager Sally Smith said: “Having already been impressed with Fuse, we were keen to investigate the potential of placing all our communications needs under one roof. What we saw from Big and Spark did not disappoint and we decided to award them our business without a pitch. Completing the team with MEC ensures we can deliver a strong communications plan for Woburn in 2009 and beyond.”

Big Executive Creative Director Dylan Bogg commented: “We are delighted to be working with Woburn – it’s a great attraction that deserves a great communications strategy to bring the visitors in. We’re sure we can deliver some really engaging work, both in terms of creative and sales promotion.”

Head of Strategy at MEC, Emma Slater said: “We are proud to be part of the new communications team at Woburn.  It’s an exciting time and we look forward to delivering innovative media solutions to promote a fantastic day out.”

Creative work including press and radio has already been produced in time for half term, and TV scripts are currently being developed for a commercial to air later in the year.
