Our news MEC Philippines announces new Managing Director

Mediaedge:cia (MEC), www.mecglobal.com, a leading media agency,
announced today the appointment of Maria Luz ‘Malu' Vasallo as Managing Director effective immediately.

In this role, Malu will lead a team of 30 media specialists and apply her extensive strategic heritage and expertise to the agency's clients. Malu will be responsible for the business and product development of MEC Philippines and will also focus on the growth of clients new business. Malu will report to Stephen Li, CEO South & SE Asia and Australasia.

Malu joins from OMD Philippines where she was Managing Director. Prior to this position, she was Vice President of Universal McCann for 7 years, managing the consulting and research practices there.

Malu has more than 20 years experience in the media industry and has worked on some of the country's foremost client partners such as Reckitt Benckiser, VISA, Fedex, Watsons, Johnson & Johnson, Heinz, Jollibee Foods, BPI/Ayala and Warner Bros. Her extensive experience in client service leadership and integrated marketing will be a massive asset to MEC.
